Listed below is what I will need from you:

  1. Manuscript in Word format. Make sure that chapters are separated by Page Break and scene breaks are separated by a ***. Please make notes (indicate chapter and scene) of any parts of the book you want to stand out, like text messages, letters, dream sequences, flashbacks and so on.

  2. Any Logos or images you wish to include in the book. If you have ideas for chapter heading images, please explain that to me now. (Or include a picture of what you would like. Please make sure you have the copyrights to any images used in your book).

  3. Personal logo for About the Author page if you have one

  4. Title page font images if you have it.

  5. Font names used in title (your cover designer should be able to provide this information). If you can provide these fonts, I can make custom headings that match the title page.

  6. Front Matter: Front Matter usually is composed of the options below. Not all books will have all of these options.

  • Copyright (if you don’t have one, I can use a generic copy).

  • Dedication page.

  • Epigraph: A phrase, quotation, or poem.

  • Table of Contents (this will be auto-generated).

  • Foreword: An anecdote or a short introduction to the book, typically by a person other than the author.

  • Preface: This covers the story of how the book came into being, or how the idea for the book was developed.

  • Acknowledgment: It acknowledges those who contributed to the creation of the book. *Some authors prefer to have this as back matter.

  • Prologue: Opening to a story that establishes the setting and gives background details, often some earlier story that ties into the main one (Not all books have a prologue).

  7. Back Matter:

  • About the Author: This should be a short BIO about you, something unique and fun that will tell your readers a little bit about you. Please include social media links.

  • Also By: Your back catalogue of books. Please include URL to all vendors in which you currently have those books.

  • The first chapter to the next book in the series (or just the next book) if you have one. Blurb or a teaser can be used as well.

  • Playlist if you have one. Either list of songs or link to YouTube/Spotify channel.

Note: The information above is typical for front and back matter. Your book may differ from it. Please let me know what your preferences are. I will work closely with you to make your book as perfect as it can be.

There are slight differences between eBooks and Paperbacks, due to the nature of each.
